Sarah was born and raised in Battle Creek, Michigan. After a few years of college in Michigan, she decided to enlist in the United States Air Force, where she served six and a half years as an Intelligence Analyst. Through her career, she worked in Texas, California, Southwest Asia, and Colorado, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant before deciding to separate to finish her education in 2014. She received her Bachelors of Arts in Public Health from University of Colorado Denver, and then her Master of Public Health with a focus in Epidemiology from the University of Edinburgh, in Edinburgh Scotland, UK. Prior to joining the Great Plains Tribal Chairmen’s Health Board, she worked as a Medicare researcher for a payment integrity software company in Connecticut. In her spare time she enjoys the outdoors, reading, painting, and relaxing with her husband and two dogs.
