Focus Groups To Begin In February
RAPID CITY –The Oyate Health Center and the Great Plains Tribal Chairmen’s Health Board will be hosting a series of focus groups in the coming weeks. These groups will consist of 6-8 of our relatives from Rapid City and will focus on how healthcare has changed for them since we first opened our doors in July 2019.
The information and input shared in these focus groups will be used to improve care at the Oyate Health Center.
A focus group consists of 7-10 people who are unfamiliar with each other, but who have a shared experience and are willing to discuss it. In this case, we are looking for individuals who have used services at the Oyate Health Center or the Rapid City Indian Health Service clinic in Rapid City. The Great Plains Tribal Chairmen’s Health Board will provide a meal and gas vouchers for those who participate. The groups will consist of volunteers from the community, and others recruited based on demographics like tribal enrollment, parental status, age, and their utilization of the Oyate Health Center.
IF you are unable to participate in the focus groups, you can still contribute your opinions by filling out one of our community needs assessments here.
