NAHSP Scholars

The Native American Healthcare Scholarship ProgramNAHSP is a component of the SSOM healthcare workforce development effort and serves to support and foster the healthcare profession interests of a select cadre of South Dakota American Indian high school students. NAHSP students gain career development support provided by NAHSP staff, have opportunities to engage with healthcare profession students who serve as near-peer mentors, engage in mentored research or community service projects and are afforded opportunities to attend national conferences in support of their career interests. NAHSP students continue to be mentored and supported as they progress through their undergraduate education at USD.
