Terra is an enrolled member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe and she was born and raised in the Black Hills Region of South Dakota. She is a graduate of Haskell Indian Nations University with a Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science with an emphasis in Biology. Prior to working at GPTCHB, Terra worked for the U.S. Forest Service as a Botany and Wildlife Biotech for 10 years. She brings knowledge of medicinal plants and traditional Lakota plant use. In her spare time she loves spending time with her two children Sinte and Mato and enjoys hiking, travelling, dancing and beading or sewing.
