Brenna was born and raised in Rapid City, South Dakota. She received her BA in anthropology with minors in music and Spanish from the University of South Dakota in 2012. After receiving her BA, Brenna worked in the natural and organic food industry for four years. She left the industry to pursue her MA degree in Social Sciences at the University of Chicago (2017). Brenna’s hobbies include baking, healthy cooking, reading, and learning new languages. When not at work Brenna enjoys searching for the best and strongest coffee in Rapid City and playing the flute.
