Becky Diehm was born and raised in Presho, SD and began her career in the banking industry. After working in the banking/insurance industry for 16 years, she returned to college and received her degree in biological science and graduated as a Registered Nurse from USD in 1997. Becky began her nursing career working in the criminal justice system as a correctional nurse and eventually transitioned into clinical field. Becky left the clinical field to begin working as a travel contract nurse for the Indian Health Services in various locations throughout South Dakota. She worked in trauma care, case management with juveniles in a correctional drug and alcohol center, leading into a career in Infection Disease Specialist for Avera from 2004 to 2014. Traveling for her work has been a benefit to the jobs she has had, as she was able to learn and experience more than any book could teach. Becky has worked for Northern Plains Healthy Start in Fort Thompson since April of 2015.
